Elections to the Management and Academic Councils of the KVASU

Notification

                  Whereas it is necessary to reconstitute the Management Council and Academic Council of the University as per Sub-section 2, (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) of Section 21, and as per Sub-section 2 (v) and (vi) of Section 27 of the Kerala Veterinary And Animal Sciences University Act 2010 (Act 3 of 2011) and hence it is hereby notified that the following elections will be held according to the principle of proportional representation by means of single transferable vote and in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Chapter XXIV and XXV of the first statute of the University to elect:

1. To the Management Council

1. One member by regular Students of the University from among themselves.
2. Three members by the Teachers of the University from among themselves.
3. One member by the Non-Teaching Staff from among themselves.
4. One member by the Permanent Laboures from among themselves.

2. To the Academic Council

1. One Teacher from each faculty by the Teachers from among themselves.
2. One member from among the post graduates/research Students.

The following schedule is hereby notified for the conduct of the elections.

Date of notification and issue of nomination papers	11.09.2014
Last date and hour for receipt of nomination at the Registry, KVASU HQ, Pookode	30.09.2014, 3 pm
Date and hour for scrutiny of nomination at the Registry, KVASU HQ, Pookode	07.10.2014 , 11 am
Date and hour for publication of list of validly nominated candidates	07.10.2014 , 4 pm
Last date and hour for withdrawal of candidature	14.10.2014, 2 pm
Date and hour for publication of the final list of candidates	14.10.2014, 4 pm
Date and hour fixed for poll	12.11.2014, 9 am to 4 pm
Date, hour and place of scrutiny and counting of votes	14.11.2014, 10 am at Kabani Auditorium, KVASU HQ, Pookode

The Students, Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff and Labourers of the KVASU enlisted in the Electoral Rolls published by the University will only be entitled to contest and vote in the elections.
