25The Directorate of Entrepreneurship of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will conduct a week long entrepreneurial and skill development programme on layer poultry rearing for Kudumbashree members of Wayanad district. The programme will be conducted from 27th to 1st October 2014 as part of the ‘kozhikkoottam’ project of kudumbashree, which will benefit around 400 participants from various gramapanchayaths of Wayanad district. The training is intended to equip the women entrepreneurs in scientific rearing of layer poultry, scientific cage design, promotion of egger nurseries among kudumbashree groups etc. The training programme is being conducted with the objective of increasing egg production of the district thereby ensuring nutrition and food security among children. Director Dr. T. P.Sethumadhavan, Dr. DeepaAnanth, Dr. Vidya P, Dr. Abdul Muneer, Dr. AjithBabu will lead the programme.
