20 Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University entered in to a meaningful collaboration with Malabar milk Co-Operative Union which includes different domains in the areas of Dairying, Veterinary Services, Productivity enhancement and capacity building in Dairy sector. In order to improve the productivity of Dairy Cattle, Mineral mixture of KVASU were launched during the Inaugural Session held at Milma Conference Hall, Kallepully, Palakkad on 20th January 2015. Chairman MRCMPU Sri K M Surendran Nair inaugurated the Programme and launched the mineral mixtures of KVASU for the Dairy farmers of the region. KVASUs Association with MRCMPU will facilitate productivity enhancement in Dairying and help the State to achieve self sufficiency in Milk production. Linkage with research institution, will try to improve Entrepreneurship in dairy sector. Chairman added. Board member Smt. Indira Guptha presided over the function. Registrar KVASU Dr. Joseph Mathew delivered the Keynote address, Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.T.P Sethumadhavan Explained the Project details. Chief Executive officer MRDF K. Damodharan Nair, Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Dr. Sisilamma George, Dean collage of Dairy Science and Technology Dr. Girish Varma, Finance Officer Dr. Shyam Mohan and Director Initiatives Dr.K.P Sreekumar offered Felicitations .MRCMPU Managing Director Sri K T Thomas welcomed the delegates and Senior Manager G.Selvakumar expressed vote of thanks.
As part of the function a Farmers of seminar was also held. Dr.Ally, Professor & Head, Department of Animal Nutrition, Dr. Deepa Ananth, Assistant Professor and Dr.Dipu Assistant Professor took classes. Dr.Shyam Mohan moderated the Seminar. Around 100 farmers from different parts of the district participated the Seminar.
