    Progressive dairy farmers can educate other farmers on productivity enhauncement; Says Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Government of Kerala Sri.K.P.Mohanan. Minister made this remark while inaugurating the two day Workshop on Sustainable Dairy Production as part of Global innovative initiative  at P.R. Mandiram, Panoor, Koothuparamba  on 9th February 2015. Grama panchayat President Smt. Preetha Ashokan presided over the function.  MRCMPU Manager Sri. Selvakumar and Niravu Co-ordinator Sri.Sreedharan Master offered felicitations. Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan offered  welcome address and Dr.V.K.Vinod  expressed vote of thanks. Sustainable livestock farming aims at producing livestock production taking in to account the economic, social and environmental issue; globally food safety and food security issues are emerging. Global farm platform addresses major sustainability issues on Dairying. KVASU is one among the members of Global farm platform. Others include University of Bristol(UK), Wisconsin, Kansas(USA) and Zhejiang University of China. Scientists from KVASU will interact with farmers and will take classes. 50 progressive dairy farmers participated in the two day event.
