10Government will provide all support to self help groups to promote goat farming in the State. Says Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sri.K.P.Mohanan. Minister made this announcement while inaugurating the goat breeding support programme of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University at Bio Resources Centre, Mokeri, Kannur on 9th February 2015. University’s Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Centre for Advanced studies in Animal Genetics and Breeding is implementing this programme with the support of Kannur District Kudumbasree mission. Recently Kudumbasree Mission launched a goat producers company to strength scientific goat production and marketing. District Panchayat Member Sri.Jinendranath presided over the function. Minister distributed Malabari bucks and Minera mixture kits to different breeder units. Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan explained the project details. Kudumbasree Mission Co-ordinator Sri. Premarajan,NIRAVU Co-ordinator Sri.Sreedharan Master offered felicitations.Dr.Deepa Ananth welcomed the delegates and CDS, Chair person Smt Praseeda expressed vote of thanks. 200 Women Self Help group members attended the programme.
