Dr.Reghu Ravindran is attending International conference at Spain

                        Dr. Reghu Ravindran, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, CoVAS Pookode is currently attending the Seventh Ticks and Tick-borne Pathogens (TTP7) international conference at Zaragoza (Spain) from August 28th to September 2nd, 2011. The venue of the conference is the City Auditorium in the street Eduardo Ibarra, near the largest public park in Zaragoza. He will be presenting a poster entitled “Effect of ethanolic extracts of plants on tick reproduction” in the poster session to be held on September 1st and 2nd 2011..

             The main theme of the conference is Integration studies aimed toward inclusion of different strategies to solve problems in the complex world of ticks and tick-borne pathogens. Integrative and comprehensive studies intended to solve the complex puzzle of pathogen-vector-host-habitat interactions. The venue is the City Auditorium in the street Eduardo Ibarra, near the largest public park in Zaragoza. Dr. Reghu Ravindran is attending the conference as part of the visits approved under subproject of National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP), ICAR, New Delhi. He is the principal investigator of NAIP project entitled “Study of herbal acaricides as means to overcome the development of resistance in ticks to conventional acaricides” under component- 4 ( Basic and Strategic Research in the Frontier Areas of Agricultural Sciences)
