Training programme on ‘Goat farming’ organised at University Goat and Sheep Farm, Mannuthy, Thrissur from 25th -26th of March 2015.

                  An innovative training on goat farming for ten entrepreneurs were organised by Directorate of Entrepreneurship, KVASU with the co-ordination of University Goat and Sheep Farm, Mannuthy, Thrissur from 25th and 26th of March 2015. The training programme was organised with the introductive lecture by Professor, Dr. Thiruppathy Venkatachalapathy.  followed by lectures from subject matter specialists from various disciplines which includes Dr. Justin Davis, Asst. Professor, Dept. of LPM, Dr. Deepa Ananth, Asst. Professor, Directorate of Entrepreneurship, Dr. Abilash, Asst. Professor, Dept. of OG and Dr. Bimal.P.Bashir, SRF,Goat and Sheep Farm, Mannuthy.
On 26th  two practical sessions were conducted in the Goat and Sheep Farm, Mannuthy. These classes were taken by with the assistance of Dr. Thiruppathy Venkatachalapathy Dr.Bimal.P.Bashir and Dr.Winny Chittilappally. At the end of the session, a concise manual on scientific goat rearing practices as well as a certificate of participation were distributed by Dr. Thiruppathy. V.. Assoc. Professor and Head of University Goat and Sheep Farm, Mannuthy. An interactive session was also conducted in which various aspects of goat rearing were discussed.
