24Training programme on Profitable Pig rearing was held at CPPR, Mannuthy from 19th to 23rd May, 2015 for farmers. It was jointly organized by Centre for Pig Production and Research, Mannuthy and Directorate of Entrepreneurship, KVASU. Sixteen progressive farmers from different parts of the State participated in the training. Farmers were given training on various topics such as breeding, reproduction, feeding, housing, care and management, identification and maintenance of records, marketing, common diseases and their control, financial and legal aspects and waste management. An interactive session was also conducted in which various aspects of pig rearing were discussed.Director Farms Dr.A.P.Usha Co-ordinated the training programme.
