IDA (Kerala Chapter) felicitated the two retiring Professors; Dr. P I. Geevarghese and Dr. George T. Oommen.

Indian Dairy Association (Kerala Chapter) in association with Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (Thrissur Chapter) organized a function on 01.07.2014 at the Seminar Hall, University Dairy Plant in honor of Prof. (Dr.) P. I. Geevarghese, Chairman, IDA - Kerala Chapter and Prof. (Dr.) George T. Oommen, President, AFST (I) - Thrissur chapter, on their retirement from the service of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Mr. Issac K Thayyil, Deputy Director, Dept. of Dairy Development, Government of Kerala presented memento to Prof. (Dr.) George T. Oommen and Dr. K. P. Sudheer, Associate Professor, Department of Food & Agricultural Process Engineering, Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, KAU, Tavanur presented memento to Prof. (Dr.) P. I. Geevarghese. A cooking competition ‘RUCHI -2015’ for the U.G. students of KVASU, Mannuthy campus was also organized in connection with this function. The team comprising of Ms. Vandana P.S., Ms. Vinitha A.V. and Ms. Ranjana K.R. of 2012 batch B.Tech. Dairy Science & Technology (CDST Thrissur) bagged the first prize and the second prize was won by the team of Ms.Sajeeha M, Ms. Maria Divanshi A. S. and Ms. Aswathy P. R. of 2013 batch B.Tech. Dairy Science & Technology programme (CDST, Thrissur).
