The three-day training programme on “Veterinary Officers as Entrepreneurship Mentors: Capacity-Building Programme for Animal Husbandry Entrepreneurship” for Batch III was successfully conducted over a period of three days from 5th to 7th January 2026, with the participation of 31 trainees. The overall training schedule and session structure for Batch III remained similar to that of Batches I and II, ensuring continuity in content delivery and learning outcomes. The program was designed to provide participants with theoretical exposure to entrepreneurship opportunities in the veterinary sector through expert-led lectures and interactive sessions.
The program commenced on 5th January 2026 with a brief inaugural session. The participants were formally welcomed by Dr. Deepa Ananth, who served as the Course Coordinator for Batch III. This was followed by an introductory address by Dr. Vasudevan V N., the Course Director, who provided an overview of the training objectives, course structure, and expected outcomes. Over the three-day period, participants attended a series of lectures and interactive sessions covering key aspects of veterinary entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurship opportunities in dairy farming, poultry farming, goat farming and pig farming along with value-added business prospects in meat products, enterprise planning, financial management, marketing strategies, regulatory procedures, and government support mechanisms.
The program concluded on 7th January 2026 with a valedictory function. The welcome address for the valedictory session was delivered by Dr. Deepa Ananth, followed by the valedictory address by Dr. K Ally, Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy, who congratulated the participants and encouraged them to utilize the knowledge gained for establishing sustainable veterinary enterprises. Certificates were distributed to all participants, after which the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vasudevan V N, marking the formal conclusion of the training programme.
