Department Profile

This department handles the Dairy Engineering courses of the B.Techprogramme. The dairy engineering department offers strategic directions to establish a fully functional dairy plant. This particular discipline lays thrust on designing, mechanization and maintenance of processing plants.

Activities
 

• Conducting undergraduate dairy engineering courses
• Provide viable proposals to facilitate the setting up most modern food and dairy processing units.
• Organizing trainings to students, farmers, entrepreneurs and researchers.
• Research activities aimed at incorporation of advanced equipments, instruments and modified plant layouts for efficient functioning of processing units.

Engineering Drawing hall and workshop

The drawing hall provides facilities to conduct engineering drawing courses. The workshop is equipped with instruments and working models put into use in the dairy industry.
