07Soil health, Water and Climate Change adaptation are some of the areas in which Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India will give more emphasis. Says Sri. Minister made this remark during the inaugural session of Global Agromeet held at Adlux Mall, Angamali, Kochi on 6th November 2014. Hon'ble Chief Minister Government of Kerala Sri. Oommen Chandy presided over the function. Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sri.K.P.Mohanan welcomed the deligates. Global Agromeet is being organised by Department of Agriculture in association with Universities and Public sector undertakings. KVASU is participating in the three day global meet. KVASU's Pavilion attracts lot of investors and farmers. During the technical session on value added agriculture and allied sectors Sri. Nandakumar IAS, Chairman NDDB, chaired the session. Director of Entrepreneurship, KVASU Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Director of Extension, KAU Dr.P.Balachandran, Chairman, MILMA Sri. P.T.Gopalakurupand Dr.Alexander Jacob of KAU presented papers.Dr. Francis Xavier, Professor(Farms) of KVASU presented a paper on prospects of organic farming in livestock sector.Confederation of Indian Industry is organising the technical sessions.
