02A two-days hands-on training programme on “Preparation of Project Proposal and its Validation” was conducted at the Academic Staff College, Mannuthy during January 12 and 13, 2026. The programme was organized with the objective of strengthening the capacity of resource persons of Kudumbashree to effectively support enterprises in agriculture, animal husbandry, and value-added sectors through systematic project planning and validation.
The programme was inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. V. N. Vasudevan, Director, Academic Staff College, KVASU. The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. T. S. Rajeev, Director of Entrepreneurship, KVASU, who highlighted the importance of well-structured and financially viable project proposals for sustainable enterprise development. The session was felicitated by Ms. Sarika, District Programme Manager, Kudumbashree Mission, Thrissur, and the inaugural function concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Suraj P. T., Course Coordinator.
The training programme adopted a hands-on and participatory approach, combining lectures, interactive discussions, group work, workshops, and practical exercises. The overall focus of the programme was on project formulation, feasibility assessment, financial analysis, risk management, and proposal validation relevant to small-scale and community-based enterprises. Active participation from the trainees was observed throughout the programme. The participants engaged in group discussions, practical exercises, and case-based learning, which helped them gain a clearer understanding of applying project concepts in real field situations.
The programme concluded with a valedictory session that included a welcome address by Dr. Suraj P. T., Course Coordinator, followed by the valedictory address by Dr. Shynu M., Associate Dean, CVAS, Mannuthy. Certificates were distributed to the participants, and the session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. V. N. Vasudevan, Director, Academic Staff College, KVASU. Overall, the training programme was successful in achieving its objectives by improving the knowledge and practical skills of Kudumbashree resource persons in preparing and validating project proposals. The programme contributed significantly to capacity building and is expected to enhance the effectiveness of enterprise support activities undertaken by the participants in their respective areas.
