- Technical advice for modernization of abattoir
- Setting up of poultry processing and value addition units
- Slaughterhouse waste disposal
- Meat species identification and detection of adulteration
- Quality analysis of meat, meat products, water and soft drinks
Learning support
- Learning support to students from various Universities in the fields Veterinary, Nutrition& Dietetics, Biotechnology ,Agriculture, Medicine, Nursing, Food Technology, Home Science, and VHSE.
Research support
- The department provides research support for Masters Degree Programmes in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Agriculture, Zoology and Botany, and allied disciplines.
