Research on Toxicology includes effects of insecticides, OP compounds and dicofol in birds and mammals; effect of different drugs in cobra venom intoxication; study on effect of fluorine, mercury, cadmium, DDT and endosulfan in cattle of Eloor industrial area and toxicity of Mimosa invisa in rabbits with identification of toxic fractions.

Ethnopharmacology studies on anti inflammatory activity were conducted on Embilica officinalis, Withania somnifera, Catharanthus roseus, Tinospora cordifolia, Vitex negundo Linn and Ipomoea mauritiana. Hypoglycaemic activity of Cocciniaindica, Pleurotus ostreatus, Nelumbo nucifera, Aegle marmalos, Azhadiracta indica,Brassica juncea and Ocimum sanctum. Immunomodulatory activity, antioxidant activity, nephroprotective activity, hepatoprotective activity, hypolipidaemic activity and tranquilizing property of various plants were studied.Effect of various anaesthetics and their reversing agents were studied in different species.
