Department Profile

The Department of Dairy Science offers Under Graduate, Masters, Doctoral and Dairy Diploma Programmes. To address the problems of the dairy farmers and for the overall development of dairy sector and also for the establishment of Hi-Tech Dairy farms, farm advisory services are being organized by the department.

For the students of Under Graduate programme, “A laboratory manual in milk & milk products technology” was published by the department. “An analytical guide for quality control of milk & milk products” was prepared by the department for the quality control sector of Dairy industry. Also a comprehensive booklet in Malayalam was released for progressive dairy farmers.

The department library comprising books and periodicals in Dairy chemistry, Dairy microbiology, Dairy technology and Dairy business management has been established for the staff members and students of UG, PG, Ph.D, & Dairy Diploma programme.
