1. Best poster award in the National symposium on livestock biodiversity vis-a vis resource exploitation An introspection at NBAGR, Karnal Haryana.February 11^th and 12^th 2004.
2. Suprabha P, M.V.Sc student got the Young scientist award for the paper, Suprabha, P. and K. Anilkumar (2004). Delineation of Genetic relationship in dwarf cattle of Kerala in 16^th Kerala Science Congress at Kozhikode 29-31^st January 2004 pp 325-335.
3. Dr K Anilkumar got the Mid Career Scientist award 2007 instituted by Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology, at the National symposium on “Recent trends in Immuno-Biotechnology based biologicals and their commercialization, organised at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand on February 27-28^th, 2008.
4. Selected for P G Nair endowment for Best Teacher in the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Kerala Agricultural University in 2008
5. Krishivygyan award 2007-08 instituted by Government of Kerala for the best agricultural Scientist.
6. Dr R S Abhilash, Dr K Anilkumar, Dr S Biju, Dr K S Ajith and Dr Hiron M Harshan received the Best Poster Presentation Award (young Scientist category) in the International symposium on Biotechnologies for optimization of reproductive efficiency of farm and companion animals to improve global food security and human health held at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences GBPUA&T, Pantnagar, Uttrakhand on November 10-12, 2010
